Tackle Tactics Wilson River Rumble

B.A.S.S. Pro/AM SERIES 5
Richmond River - Lismore NSW
17/11/2017 to 19/11/2017

In alignment between Tackle Tactics the Lismore Council, & B.A.S.S. Australia Nation is the opening round of the 5th Season of the B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Pro/Am Series.

The Tackle Tactics Wilson River Rumble will be the first stop, and in November the fishing should be off the charts with a huge amount of techniques coming into play. Like in Season 3 a fishing festival held right in the heart of Lismore where 40,000 residents reside, will also be included with a full drive thru weigh-in with massive cheering crowds.

After last year’s massive rain deluge in Lismore where the banks couldn’t hold the amount of water back, we have decided to visit the Wilson River every year in November as the fishing and weather should be incredibly stable.

Mitchell Cone took out the title last time we visited Lismore.

This season opener will setup certain anglers and give them big exposure along with critical AOY points that will go towards the best 4 rounds of the 6 on offer.

With a full drive through weigh-in right near the boat ramp, (Held on the road above the ramp) opportunity for local industry producers and fishing industry leaders to exhibit to an incredibly large crowd we guarantee this will be one for every anglers schedule. If you are looking at getting more sponsors or impressing the existing alignments you currently have, as an angler you should be seriously making plans to put this event on top of the list.

Speaking with long time local guru’s Adrian Melchior, Steve McLean and Brett Hyde, the system at that time of the year should be firing and the tournament could be won just near the boat ramp. With kilometres and kilometres of heavily timbered banks we expect to see some different techniques come into play over the stretch of the tournament, opening up all types of interest from the local community.

Pre-Fish Ban Monday 6th November 12.00am - 17th November (Sunrise) - (BLACK OUT PERIOD - DON"T SEND ANYONE OUT TO PRE-FISH DURING THIS PERIOD AND DON'T HIRE ANYONE TO SHOW YOU LOCATIONS LIKE A FISHING GUIDE, DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE LAKE WITH ASSOCIATES, FAMILY AND FRIENDS IS PERMITTED) - For a full list of the B.A.S.S. Getting there & General Information

Lismore is only 2.5 hours south of Brisbane and 9 hours north of Sydney making it very accessible to all travelling anglers from the 2 states. 34 kms inland from Ballina, Lismore has a population density of over 40,000 people, and the weigh-in site is being held just near a major over pass that carriers 60,000 vehicles per day.

The Richmond River rises from the Great Dividing Range near the McPherson Range and travels over 230 km’s to its mouth near Balina. With 12 tributaries including the Wilson River, the Richmond offers the travelling anglers a massive bass playground that fundamentally has very little pressure compared to other highly populated tourist destinations. With heavily timbered banks, laydowns and unlimited over hung shading trees, the Richmond is an absolute must do for any keen bass angler.
