The Bluefin B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Team Championship field is being set through the qualification rounds and with a Bluefin Boat powered by an Evinrude E-Tec 40Hp outboard, trailered by a Swiftco Trailer and custom Wrap from Bonza Graphics this is the best  


B.A.S.S. Australia Nation aligned with Haswing Marine Australia and Bluefin Boats is happy to announce the Team Championship where one team will win the trip of a life time fishing and competing in the B.A.S.S. Nation Team Championship in the U.S.A. and have an opportunity to make the Bassmster Classic 2018.

Along with other cash and prizes on offer, each team will receive an official tournament shirt (pictured below), and will be representing either NSW or Queensland in the event.

Last Years Team Champions Team Gamakatsu cleaned up on Lake Boondooma.

The top 20 teams from each state will be invited and it will be their opportunity to make history and have the trip of lifetime competing alongside a good friend, or family member for a shot into the Bassmaster Classic. The New South Wales team has been made up of the best teams currently competing in the Family Bassin Series and will be determined in August, while the invitations will head out shortly for the already decided Queensland Team.


Entry Cost - $400 per team

Entries Close - Saturday 1st of September 

Pre-fish ban - 28th August 2017 - 12:00am to the Official Practice Day

Official Practice Day - Friday 8th September 2017 


Session Times

Session One - Saturday 9th September - 6:30am - 11:00am,

Session Two - Saturday 9th September - 12:30pm - 5:30pm,

Chmpionship Session - Sunday 10th September - 6:30 - 11:00am

Briefing Times and Location - Friday 8th September - 5:00pm weigh-in area - Lake Glenbawn Lakeside.

Bass size limit - 31 cm to the tip 

Bag Limit - 4 Fish Limit Per Team

Technical Information

A 3.5 hour drive from Sydney, Lake Glenbawn State Park is 160 km north-west of Newcastle, just off the New England Highway, and can be reached via Aberdeen or Scone. Nearest regional centre is Scone and the lake is approximately 15 kms East from Scone.

The lake is up to approximately 22 kilometres long and has a capacity of 749,840 million litres. When full the lake has a surface area of 2,615 hectares.



Lake Glenbawn offers a range of accommodation options from cabins to powered and bush camping sites. For information on park entry fees, available accommodation options and tariffs please visit www.lakeglenbawn.com.au.

Facilities include - Amenities block, bait/lures, bbqs electric, bbqs wood, boat ramp, camp kitchen, disabled access, fuel, groceries, ice, kiosk (We are not positive if the Kiosk will be up and running), laundry, LP gas, picnic area, playground, public telephone, shelter shed, take-away food, tennis, and van storage.

DOGS - Dogs are allowed in Lake Glenbawn recreation park providing they remain on a lead at all times.



Fishing Licences are essential for fishing and are valid throughout NSW for both fresh and salt-water fishing.

The entrants into the Teams Championship also recieve a complimentry shirt as per their given states qualification.
