B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Rules and Regulations

Here are some points that you might not recognise.

You must familiarise yourself with the rules and regulations to compete in any B.A.S.S Australia Nation Series. You will need to sign and understand the rules and regualtions to compete in any tournament and when the successful angler represents Australia, they will be expected to understand the rules and regulations involved in competing in the U.S.A.

1. Competitor only assistance locating fish (Asking for information about fish location) & Competition only prefishing partners. - This is general rule to stop individuals from paying people for assistance, or having people pre-fish for you.  And you need to stop anyone who wants to volunteer info.  - This rule has been removed.

2. PFD needed on the practice day & PFD needed when boat is in gear. 

3. Lanyard on when boat is in gear.

4. Safety gear location is needs to be labelled.

5. Consumption of alcohol must be responsible at al times.

6. When a lure is snageed out of the water you can count that as out of bounds and you can keep fishing.

7. Only licenced and insured driver must be in the drivers seat when the boat is in gear.

8. Multi Rig is allowed, One hook permitted in Queensland and 3 hooks permitted in New South Wales.

9. Only 2 Rods are allowed to be rigged in N.S.W lakes per angler. You can have multiple rods per person the vessel but only 2 may be rigged per person.

10. No jerry cans or portable tanks allowed - Tanks must also be secured or strapped in.

11. No underwater camera to be used during tournament or official practice days.
